A pioneer in his field, Jules Garbus, MD, FACS, FASCRS, provides the most up-to-date colorectal diagnostic testing and treatment solutions. He welcomes new and existing patients to his private practice, Jules Garbus MD PC, which boasts locations in Forest Hills, Queens and Garden City, New York.
Dr. Garbus earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, where he was a distinguished member of the Alpha Omega Medical Honor Society. He went on to complete his internship and residency training in general surgery at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York.
To further his expertise, Dr. Garbus finished a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. Dr. Garbus is currently double board-certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He’s also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons.

Dr. Garbus is a highly competent physician who is also very pleasant and personable, and puts patients at ease for what is normally a rather embarrassing situation. He is also a bit of a comedian, putting patients at ease. His office is sparking clean. He and his staff appear to adhere to all infection control guidelines, including those regarding Covid, so patients are safe and protected. Though sometimes there is a wait to see him, patients are never rushed out the door with adequate time given for each patient. I live far out of town, yet I would not want to see any other specialist for my issues.

Dr Garbus is wonderful. I've had my colonoscopy done twice with him. He held my hand right until I fell asleep after being injected with anesthesia. Very kind and pleasant doctor with a great staff. You will definitely be happy with him!
